Meet Numi - Part III

Meet the latest addition to the personalities of Numi. This character has a certain ‘je-ne-sais-quoi’. She is a full-on vibe on her own. This woman is self-made. Stubborn as she is, she chose, from a very young age, to walk her own path. Let the rest of society figure it out. She was determined to live a life on her own terms and stand by her own empowering beliefs. Numi has worked hard to get where she wanted and needed to be. And though she hasn’t reached her full potential and isn’t sure what the destination exactly is, she is well on her way.

Since a certain trip to a certain destination, Numi has developed a confidence that her younger self would’ve never believed possible. This woman has roots deep into her own  intuition and isn’t afraid any more of what life will throw at her. For she knows that life never serves you something you can’t handle. When you listen closely, there is always a lesson to learn. When you choose to love and to forgive yourself, you can live to smile another day.

Numi has been brought up surrounded by many, many rules and many, many opinions. As a woman, it has been harder even because so many expectations of being a perfect human are slapped around your face from a very young age. Before, Numi would hide in an ivory tower just to be safe from any criticism, opinion or unsolicited advice. Now, Numi has found an inner light that shines so bright it evaporates all the negative dust that might blow her way. 

At the same time, it is exciting and scary to be around this part of Numi. She has just gotten to know some of her powers, and she’s not afraid to use them. These powers might even have the force to build a path to reach ridiculously ambitious dreams. They might lead to many roads ’unwalked’. But somewhere there is a knowing, a deep faith, that everything will turn out the way it’s supposed to be.

Even though this part of Numi has just risen to the surface, this gem of a woman has always been there. She whispered crazy thoughts through my brain: ‘Start your own business’, ‘Travel to New York’, ‘Take the mushroom’. Now I know that it was her all along. I found her while cleaning up my emotional mess. I found her somewhere hidden between all the parts of myself that didn’t have a clue of what they were doing. But who were shouting their opinions through my ears anyway! 

Looking at these photos, for the first time, I truly see myself. I can truly say I’m grasping the beauty I hold within and without and I’m not ashamed to say this. All those years that I’ve tried to live up to expectations from my surroundings. All the times I tried to deal with other peoples emotions to try and get a bit of happiness for myself. Those times are gone. I’m the living proof that whatever heavy past you might have, there is always a way through. It might not be a walk in the park. But it is so freaking worth it. If life wouldn’t have been though on me, I wouldn’t have learned to though up. If life would have been easy, it wouldn’t have given me the strength to handle its difficulties. If life would’ve been only rainbows and sunshine, would I truly be able to appreciate the blessing that life is? 

This Numi is a Warrior Queen. One that stands for living an empowering and authentic life. She values giving voice to whatever needs to be heard, shown or done. Whether it’s good or bad. She knows there is a divine timing for everything. And her time is now.
